Position: FARE Case Manager II (FT):
Description: This individual must be self-motivated with strong communication skills. Provide neutral facilitation of strengths-based family meetings, for families who are working in the CSD (Children's Services Dept) system to support timely creation of the child's placement plan as well as promoting collaborative problem solving and effective creation of safety plans that lead to successful reunification of families.
Examples of Specific Job Duties:Under the direct supervision of the Program Manager, the CMII will

Coordinate and plan family meetings to ensure that meetings are timely and relevant to meet the needs of the family and CSD. Facilitation of family meetings to ensure that families and their support are engaged and empowered in team decision making that is strength based and needs driven while identifying acts of protection to assure the safety and well-being of children. Reports must be submitted and distributed to meet deadlines.
- Work with a diverse range of personalities in environments that can be escalated emotionally while maintaining neutrality and compassionate composure. Participants will include parents, and their extended support network, social workers and service providers. Will work with CSD staff and provide orientation to parents and extended family members. Must be able comfortable working in a team environment
- Promote trust, honesty and respect though the use of active listening, motivational interviewing and mediation techniques
- Diffuse escalation in emotionally charged situations and keep participants on task through strength-based empowerment techniques
- Scribe electronically while facilitating family meetings.
Hourly Rate: $16.13
BA/BS in social service field. Experience in Safety Organized Practice, motivational interviewing, or mediation preferred. If not trained in Safety Organized Practice must be willing to attend training to be proficient. Required training could require travel outside of normal working hours or away from Butte County.
Individuals must have good verbal and written communication skills, be computer literate, comfortable meeting and networking with individuals with diverse skills and backgrounds, work within deadlines, have reliable transportation, pass an extensive background check and DOJ & FBI fingerprint clearance. Work is primarily provided Monday- Friday but at times an occasional early evening or Saturday may be required. Word and Excel will be used to document work. The successful candidate will be able to work independently, use good judgment, be neutral and be part of a team.
