Description:

Under the direct supervision of the Program Manager, the primary responsibilities for Supervisor I is to effectively plan, organize, administer, and supervise the program, ensuring operational efficiency, quality, and staff development.

Examples of Duties:

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Train, monitor, evaluate, and direct the work of program staff.
  • Meet with staff on a weekly basis to review caseloads and current issues.
  • Provide daily guidance and direction to staff, ensuring they have ongoing training and support.
  • Respond to staff emergency situations and critical issues promptly.
  • Develop and maintain a sense of teamwork, promoting collaboration among all team members.
  • Conduct monthly reviews of case files to ensure they are current and complete.
  • Evaluate staff in writing five working days prior to their evaluation deadline and discuss performance as needed with the Program Manager/Director.
  • Work cooperatively with program evaluators and other stakeholders.
  • Inform the Program Manager/Director about any critical issues as they arise.
  • Prepare program budgets promptly and accurately, ensuring expenditures remain within available resources.
  • Promote the program in the community to maintain sufficient workloads and ensure staff time is used to its full capacity.
  • Network with community service providers and referral sources to maintain positive working relationships and market the program.
  • Collaborate with Program Managers and other Supervisors to develop and maintain successful recruitment programs for student interns.
  • Develop and implement new programs that enhance the primary program functions, including research, grant writing, and reporting to funding sources.
  • Develop staff to reach their full potential, providing immediate direction and support during crises.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all program regulations and ensure their implementation in a professional manner.
  • Meet all reporting responsibilities within the timeframes established by funding sources and NVCSS administration.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

Supervisor I Specific Responsibilities:

  • Direct the daily activities of staff, including coordinating tasks and ensuring operational goals are met.
  • Supervise a small team of program staff, ensuring compliance with program guidelines.
  • Focus on program implementation and basic administrative functions under the guidance of the Program Manager.

 


Salary:

$24.25 (Step A) - $25.73 (Step C)

Minimum Employment Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in a field related to the program. A minimum of two years of supervisory experience.
