  • Cathy Wyatt, LCSW

    Executive Director

Length of Employment at NVCSS: 2008-Present

It is an honor to work with such dedicated staff, volunteers and community partners. Through our collective work, we reach many individuals and families in need.

I have lived in Shasta County for over 25 years and have had the privilege of raising my son in a community that is supportive and caring. I enjoy the natural beauty both in, and surrounding Shasta County and can be found hiking, kayaking and snow shoeing in my spare time. When I have the opportunity to travel, I delight in exploring the National Parks across the U.S. as well as traveling internationally.

  • Erna Friedeberg, MPA

    Regional Director, Butte/Glenn/Tehama Counties

Length of Employment at NVCSS: 2001-Present

NVCSS is a great place to work because of the amazing and diverse services and caring staff that are providing those service to children and families throughout the North State.

I am a local, having grown up in Northern California and have lived here my entire life. I love the North State with its beauty in both nature and the human spirit. I am blessed with a loving family and 2 amazing sons. I was called to service through strong family values and a commitment to improving the lives of others who are facing challenges. Mom and dad raised me to be a Niner, Giants and Warrior fan, which is how I spend much of my off time!

  • Bobbi Sawtelle

    Housing Director

Length of Employment at NVCSS: 1996-Present

NVCSS is committed to stabilizing people’s lives and helping them reach their potential. I’m happy to be a part of that effort through the development and management of affordable housing.
I was born and raised in Shasta County, leaving only to finish college before returning to the north state. My husband and I have been married since college and we have four boys who grew into amazing young men. Our family has increased in size with two granddaughters and one grandson. My husband and I hike and canoe occasionally and I enjoy reading whenever I get the time.

  • Amy Diamantine

    Regional Director, Shasta/Siskiyou/Trinity Counties

Length of Employment at NVCSS: 2015-Present

I have a passion for helping and supporting our community members. By building a strong, connected community I believe we can create a foundation of growth, love and compassion with and for one another. Service to others is the key to building this foundation and NVCSS exemplifies this philosophy.

I have lived in Shasta County for 15 years with my husband and 2 daughters. I hold a license in Marriage and Family Therapy and began my career in Counseling Psychology in 2010. I am originally from the Bay Area, and come from a large family where roots run deep in the San Francisco and Oakland areas. However, I have grown to feel Shasta County is truly my home. I spend my time enjoying the summers of Redding at the lake or by the pool. I fancy myself a gardener despite the fact if my plants and flowers could speak they may voice a different opinion. As I watch my daughters become young women and begin to leave the nest I am reminded of the value of connection, family, and community. I have loved raising my girls in Redding and I feel truly bonded to this community.

My wife Shari and I moved to Redding from Central Oregon in 2012. We love Redding and enjoy living near our daughter Lindsay, our son-in-law Kyle, and our first grandchild Owen. When I’m not at work, you will usually find me at my favorite coffee shop, playing with my grandson or riding scooters around town.
