Our Tehama County programs and Family Resource Center are an important part of Northern Valley Catholic Social Service (NVCSS). Our Family Resource Center in Corning (map) is open to the public. We are accredited by the Council on Accreditation.

The overarching goal for our services in Tehama County is to fight poverty by strengthening families with a broad spectrum of evidence-based programs and other services that give our families the competencies to meet the specific and ever-changing challenges of many life situations and life stages of their realities. Our West Street Family Resource Center is a part of a network of two Family Resource Centers in Tehama County, working in partnership with First 5 Tehama’s “System of Care” model.

Using the evidence-based “Family Development Matrix”, our committed and caring NVCSS Family Resource Center teams assess family needs and strengths and work together with the families on identified goals. Our team is Spanish bilingual and bicultural and understands the diverse cultural practices of our families.
