Yreka Basecamp is a 32-bed low-barrier homeless shelter that is focused on getting individuals connected to community support systems including mental health, substance use, and physical health treatment services. The primary target population is adults with mental health and/or substance use disorders, and a history of justice involvement. In partnership with the Six Stones Wellness Center, Yreka Basecamp will be the first and only shelter of its kind in Siskiyou County. Guests are allowed to “come as they are” and engage in supportive services, but they are not required to participate in services in order to have a safe place to lay their head at night.
