Description:
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced On-Site Resident Manager to oversee the Jackson Place Apartments, a housing complex with 10 one-bedroom units that provides housing opportunities for individuals with special needs. In this vital role, you will manage various aspects of the complex, including rent collection, tenant relations, move-in and move-out procedures, and overall property maintenance.Examples of Duties:

Tenant Management
- Collect all tenants’ rent in a timely manner and deliver to NVCSS by the 5th of each month.
- Enforce rental policies when necessary, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
- Report lease violations, safety concerns, or other situations requiring immediate attention to the Program Supervisor.
- Collaborate with tenants to facilitate and encourage tenant-planned social and community activities.
Property Maintenance & Repairs
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from tenants and coordinate repairs with NVCSS Housing staff.
- Work closely with NVCSS Maintenance and Housing staff to ensure all vacated units are cleaned and prepared for re-renting.
- Ensure all common areas are properly maintained and cleaned.
Safety & Security
- Address any security or vandalism issues, reporting to NVCSS and law enforcement as needed.
Regulatory Compliance & Documentation
- Complete required Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) documentation and maintain tenant files as per HUD and other funding sources.
- Conduct annual apartment inspections and complete necessary documentation.
Reporting & Communication
- Provide a monthly status report to the NVCSS Housing Lead by the 5th of each month.
Salary:
$16.50 plus rent for a 2 bedroom apartment (utilities and water not included, deposit required)Minimum Employment Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent degree. Associate's and/or Bachelor's degree preferred. The ideal candidate will have two years' experience in property management, money handling, documentation, working with special populations including low-income and disabled adults, and maintenance skills. Must be detail oriented, problem solve, able to meet deadlines and have good written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Have a current driver's license, auto registration and auto insurance. Experience with Microsoft and Google platforms. Experience working with HUD helpful.The working conditions are typical health clinic settings; involving the potential for high stress levels and exposure to hostile situations; some non-standard work hours may be required. Must be able to work with a clinically challenging client population and maintain professional composure. May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds.
