Description:

Under the direct supervision of the Program Manager, the Pallet Shelters coordinator position's primary responsibilities are 1) to provide relations between the program, the community, and any other applicable parties, and 2) to develop and administer the program itself.


Examples of Duties:

General Responsibilities to meet primary

  • Coordinating the administration and implementation of the program;
  • Collaborating with community service agencies to develop and implement the program;  Recruiting, screening, training, coordinating, and supervising volunteers;
  • Coordinating external relations with the community;
  • Coordinating workshops for clients;
  • Transporting clients to and from the Center;
  • Developing and monitoring a budget in consultation with the Program Manager;  Collecting and reporting data to county on a monthly basis regarding the use of services and expenses; Developing a network of services, donations, and volunteers from community-based organizations to ensure continuation of the program;  Meeting all federal, state and local obligations regarding operation of the program;  Assisting the Program Manager in developing protocols, policies, and procedures;  Maintaining a sense of teamwork among volunteers and staff as well as among staff and service providers;
  • Attending staff meetings;
  • Performing related duties as assigned.

Salary:

Starting Pay Range: $21.54 (Step A) - $22.85 (Step C)

Minimum Employment Qualifications:

EDUCATION AND PRIOR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree in field related to the program preferred. Two years’ experience in the field related to the program, including experience working with volunteers.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Google platforms and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with HRIS systems is a plus.
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of word processing; ability to compile data for written and oral reports; ability to give presentations representing the Agency and the Program; ability to operate the company vehicle.

ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS AND CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Involves the potential for high stress levels and exposure to hostile situations; some non-standard work hours may be required.
