NVCSS is committed to advocating for the rights and well-being of children in the foster care system. Our mission is to empower community members to serve as Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), ensuring every child has a voice and the support they need to thrive.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Program Manager to lead our CASA program. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in social services, program management, and community engagement. This pivotal role involves overseeing daily operations, coordinating staff efforts, and ensuring that all contract and performance targets are met.

Examples of Duties:

  • Program Oversight: Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with contract and fiscal targets while monitoring staff performance and addressing program issues in weekly meetings.
  • Team Development: Train, supervise, and evaluate staff, providing ongoing guidance and support during emergencies to foster teamwork and professional growth.
  • Budget Management: Prepare and manage program budgets, recommending adjustments and implementing financial controls as needed to align spending with revenue.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all program regulations, contractual obligations, and accreditation standards while preparing and submitting accurate reports to contractors and funders.
  • Community Engagement: Represent the program at community presentations, promote initiatives to maintain adequate caseloads, and develop new programs aligned with the agency’s mission through research and grant writing.
  • Volunteer Management: Recruit, train, and manage volunteers to support program operations, creating a robust volunteer recruitment program and fostering collaboration.
  • Quality Assurance: Proactively identify opportunities for operational improvements, resolve conflicts professionally, and ensure high-quality service delivery while maintaining performance standards and accreditation.

Salary:

Pay Range: $66,560 (Step A) - $81,019.35 (Step G), Annual, DOE

Minimum Employment Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Social Work, Public Administration, Human Services, Nonprofit Management, Sociology). Preferred certifications in nonprofit management, program evaluation, or case management. 2-3 years of experience in social services, human services, or nonprofit program management. Experience as a caseworker, coordinator, or assistant in a social service program is valuable. Familiarity with managing small-scale programs or components of larger programs, including day-to-day operations and budget oversight.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to travel frequently to various locations. Capability to stand for extended periods during teaching, training, and food preparation activities. Strong verbal communication skills for teaching and training. Proficiency in using a computer for data entry, report writing, and other tasks, with the ability to sit for extended periods. Ability to move and transport educational materials and equipment as needed. Must adhere to safety protocols and handle equipment weighing up to 30 pounds.
