The Teenage Pregnancy and Parenting Program (TAPP) follows the Adolescent Family Life Program (AFLP), using the Positive Youth Development (PYD) model. The program is designed for expecting and parenting youth that are under 21 years of age. They work with a case manager, teens will focus on their strengths, explore their values and set goals for their life. The program offers challenging and interesting activities where teens can explore what is important, increase their knowledge and abilities, and equip them with the skills to reach their goals.

We seek an individual who is compassionate, responsible, adaptable, and dependable to aid the Program Supervisor and Manager in extending activities that support the goals of the TAPP program. The ideal candidate should exhibit self-motivation and actively pursue continuous personal and professional development and possess the ability to offer insights to enhance the program's operational efficiency.

Examples of Duties:

  • Provide input on planning, decision-making, and implementation of the AFLP model
  • Support quality assurance efforts
  • Attend events and provide community outreach, including composing and preparing social media and/or print advertisements and resources such as letters, flyers, brochures, etc.
  • Participate in meetings and trainings that pertains to the agency, program, local stakeholder, and community
  • Provide assistance with addressing challenges that impact meeting youth’s needs 
  • Assist with clerical tasks such as faxing, filing, shredding, data collection, answering phones and greeting clients
  • Compile, update, and maintain files and records
  • Assist in preparing regular and bulk mailings for the post office upon request
  • Assist in collecting and entering data into the program’s systems
  • Provide assistance to higher level positions for special and routine projects
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

Salary:

$16.00

Minimum Employment Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will be a parent who has experience with home visiting services. Under this current AFLP contract, only individuals under the age of 22 years old will be considered. Must have reliable transportation and driver’s license and insurance.
